What We Believe
God
We believe that there is one God, the Creator of all things, eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, and revealed in three persons as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that these persons are distinct, but not separate, all equally eternal, and uncreated.
Scripture
We believe that the Bible, consisting of 66 books, is the written Word of God: complete, understandable, without error, and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
Man
We believe that man is created in the image of God, but because of sin, is separated from God and is a fallen creature in need of redemption. We believe that humans are inherently sinful, and cannot change their nature or atone for their sins through their own efforts.
Jesus Christ
We believe that God the Son came to earth in human form as our Savior Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, fully God and fully Man. We believe that He lived a sinless life, was crucified, and died as the sufficient, substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. We believe that He physically rose from the dead, and that He ascended to the right hand of the Father.
Salvation
We believe that in order to be saved, a person must repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ alone for redemption. We believe that genuine faith in Christ will always be shown through obedience to His commands, but that such obedience is evidence of one's salvation, and not the source of it.
The Church
We believe that there is one Church, made up of all genuine believers in Christ, of which Christ Himself is the Head. We believe that Christians must love one another, seek to live in unity, and not be divided by differences of opinion on non-essential doctrines.
Resurrection
We believe that Jesus Christ will return in the future to judge the world. We believe that all humans will be resurrected: the saved to eternal life, and the lost to eternal judgment.
